Lansdowne Rd in Birmingham was the site of a major project with Interserve Construction. FP McCann supplied all the pre-cast elements and this film shows the benefits and saving from adopting this method.

Three static cameras and plenty of site visits over an 18 month period. From a muddy field to a state of the art distribution centre... in 4 minutes!

Media City had 15 tower cranes in action at the height of its construction.

We were commissioned to film TC10 .. from start to finish. The film is still used during presentations and training courses. It was quite a learning curve for us too.

We handle various construction projects throughout the UK - but this doesn’t stop us working on other genres of film.

A Laing O'Rourke project in Manchester at The Henry Royce Institute . The Mega Riser installation was undertaken with an impressive degree of accuracy. The Mega Riser was manufactured at Crown House Technologies facility in Oldbury.

Laing O'Rourke are the main contractors on the prestigious Factory Theatre project in Manchester . This short film shows the installation of the proscenium arch steelwork - a major landmark in the project. Filmed mainly using a drone and time-lapse cameras. The precision of the steel engineering was quite breathtaking.

We are a company of various disciplines - one of our favourites being Motion Control. We have filmed many corporate and commercial productions using our ‘NERO’ motion control rig and Mira is just one. The rig allows various matched camera passes and intricate movement. The various passes are weaved together in our After Effects suite - the resulting effects can be quite impressive.

Along with Motion Control filming we also cover lighting and compositing .

Two Tower cranes are being used on The Factory Theatre and arts performance space in Manchester. Select Plant Hire supplied the cranes - each one was erected over a long weekend .

Work is coming to an end for the Laing O'Rourke team involved with the £60 million refurbishment of Meadowhall..

The Hornsea One project, located off the coast of Hull, sees the construction of one of the world’s biggest offshore windfarms. Once constructed the windfarm will be over 407 kilometres squared, consist of 174 wind turbines and be able to power well over one million homes. We were asked to film the innovative cable laying process.

After Effects sequence for Veracity Digital and The Other Agency.

We followed the Laing O'Rourke team during relocation of Lutyen's Cenotaph, St Peter's Square, Manchester. This 20 minute film covers a brief history of the monument, the reasons for the move and how it was achieved. The first time a Lutyens Cenotaph has been dismantled and rebuilt, and all during WW1 centenary year.

We used our Nero motion control rig to help our artist ‘multi task’ in this kitchen commercial for Magnet. Multiple passes - not multiple artists.

Our background in broadcast media has seen us involved in several productions over several TV channels. Our speciality being motion control, we have been called upon to deliver high quality and creative solutions to the arts and documentary arena. A short time lapse video highlighting a recently project were FP McCann has supplied and installed a large 195 cubic metres precast concrete panel tank for housing developer Orion Homes in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire.

Select Plant Hire's largest luffing jib crane - the TEREX CTL 1600-66 erected on site at Edinburgh St James's.

We used the Milo Motion Control rig for this Dreams commercial. Careful choreography, multiple passes and creative direction. Client - Re-production TV...Producer Phil Greenwood and Director Phil Hawkins.

One of our motion control jobs for Greenroom Films in Edinburgh. Using the Milo motion control rig - the camera moves around a table picking up individuals who tell us what ICS means to them. Motion control was needed as each person was filmed separately, and the environment was constantly changing but the table had to remain fixed and the end product had to appear seamless.

A short time-lapse film promoting the Steel Terminal at Liverpool Dock. 4 cameras and a lot of "crane-dodging".
